The Need for

Fair Pay & Benefits

Frontier pilots are significantly under-compensated compared to their peers at other leading U.S. airlines. With recent contract negotiations at carriers like Alaska, Delta, United and Hawaiian setting a higher industry pattern, Frontier pilots are falling behind. Our pilots deserve pay rates and benefits that not only match their skill and dedication but also reflect the market realities.


Quality of Life & 
Job Security

Frontier management has consistently undermined its pilots and their quality of life through blatant disregard to the pilot contract, and its arbitrary decision making. 

This has resulted in over 1,200 open grievances filed against the company for contract violations. It also includes the sudden closure of established bases and frequent, disruptive schedule changes that have displaced families and creates instability in the pilots' professional lives. 

To secure a stable and fulfilling career, pilots need to be treated fairly, with respect for their personal lives, and a commitment from management to abide by the pilot collective bargaining agreement.

The Exodus

Frontier is facing an alarming rate of pilot attrition, with senior captains and experienced aviators leaving the airline for better opportunities elsewhere. The reasons are clear: poor working conditions, arbitrary management practices, and compensation packages that fail to match industry standards

This exodus not only strains the remaining pilots but also threatens the airline’s ability to maintain operational efficiency and safety standards. Frontier must address these issues immediately to stem the loss of talent and restore confidence among its pilot group. In January of 2023, Frontier had 1,924 active pilots. Frontier hired 491 pilots and 363 left the carrier.




Frontier invests in training pilots at a rate almost 4 times higher than the number of pilots who they retain. Frontier finished the year with 2,033 active pilots. In 2022 alone, Frontier hired 554 pilots but lost 271—a nearly 50% turnover rate.

Addressing Customer Complaints

Similarly, pilots at Frontier share frustrations with delayed communications, insufficient resources, and inconsistent policy enforcement, which mirror the dissatisfaction felt by customers.
